What are the content/trigger warnings?

• Graphic sexual material between the main characters, including:

  • Coercion and dubious consent (on-page)

  • Implied nonconsent (off-page)

• Psychological/emotional trauma

• Kidnapping, forced unconsciousness, and forced restraint

• Periodic mention of fictional genocide, eugenics, and apocalyptic world events that may incidentally resemble reality

• Death of a parent (historical)

• Drug use

• Graphic violence

• Brief suicidal and homicidal ideation

• Frequent swearing

• Significant religious sacrilege (mostly Christianity, but also Mysticism, Satanism, etc.)

Be Not Afraid is a Gothic Romance / Dark Fantasy Horror novel set in a divergence of modern-day Earth. It not considered Christian fiction, but rather a fantasy story featuring rich lore inspired by Christian literature (i.e. the Holy Bible, Revelation) and apocryphal texts (i.e. the Book of Enoch). If the idea of portraying angels, God, or the church as dynamic entities with fallible morals—including the possibility for corruption, flaws, deviousness, and hypocrisy—is deeply offensive to your personally held religious beliefs, then this is likely not the book for you.

How many books are planned in the Be Not Afraid series?

Currently, three books are planned to conclude the main storyline, with potential for a standalone sequel. There will be a happily ever after in the series!
