What are early readers saying about Be Not Afraid?

An absolute MASTERPIECE, from start to finish!
A dark apocalyptic romance about a woman who's given the power to end the world . . .or bring heaven to its knees? COUNT ME IN!
Koja Kalos is a phenomenal writer whose masterful prose and powerful world building leave you begging for more as you reach the final page. This book will have you laughing, crying, and questioning who to trust, while also tantalizing you with political intrigue you'll go ravenous for.
My bookshelves are already screaming for a physical copy, and I've only read the beta so far.
If you enjoy stories that keep you guessing while exploring topics like self-discovery, perseverance, and hope in the face of darkness, then this is a MUST READ.

I am thoroughly, painfully invested.
There was not a single moment in this book that didn't grip me.
The characters are eminently engaging, the world-building is immaculate, and the stakes are literally as high as they possibly can be. Armageddon looms without a known deadline, making every quiet moment feel both earned and stolen. The narration itself is a plot device, tugging Kae and readers both in multiple directions all at once.
You are told to Be Not Afraid, but at no point does the writing ever let you truly feel safe. This book is a masterpiece of biblically-infused psychological horror, building up tension and then eroding your reservations and toying with trust itself as a literary device.
I literally cannot recommend it enough.

This was a truly delightful read full of dynamic characters that are deeply, realistically flawed.
Almighty power is creatively counterbalanced by surging emotions that guide even members the highest echelons of Heaven and Hell to make catastrophic decisions.
The author masterfully manipulates her reader into loving, hating, questioning, and even pitying each and every character and relationship presented. All this while weaving an interesting, well-polished plot.
I laughed, cringed, screamed, and seethed.
100% would read again, and desperately waiting for the next installment.
